The youngest member of Denmark’s royal family, Princess Athena, just celebrated quite the milestone – her fourth birthday!
And to celebrate the occasion, the Danish Royal Palace shared a few photographs of the young princess playing in the snow.
Her mother Princess Marie shared the photographs, taken by Steen Brogaard, on Facebook. They showed the princess having fun frolicking in the snow with her elder brother, 6-year-old Prince Henrik.
The birthday girl has already proved she’s a pro in the world of winter sports: Last year she charmed Scandinavians with a polished performance on skis while on vacation in Switzerland with her family.

Athena, the youngest child and only daughter of Prince Joachim, 46, and his wife Princess Marie, has had lots of growing up to do in the past year.
She’s had to adjust to big brother Prince Henrik attending elementary school for the first time, a move she’ll make herself in the next few years.
And there was another big change for the family in 2015: Athena, her brother and her parents moved into the new family home, a luxury villa in Klampenborg, an affluent seaside suburb north of Copenhagen. The property has its own cinema, wine cellars and swimming pool.
Princess Athena enjoyed a private party with family and friends at her new home on Sunday. Her parents had arranged to attend after flying back from their official visit to Iceland according to the Danish magazine, Billed-Bladet.

On the second day of their trip, the royal couple revealed they are no strangers to Iceland’s striking scenery of hot springs, geysers and gigantic waterfalls.
“We’ve been here three times before,” Princess Marie told reporters.
“We weren’t here officially.” Prince Joachim added. “Sometimes we go under the radar.”
Athena’s birthday and their trip to Iceland may have come to an end, there’s still plenty of excitement in store for the family: Princess Athena’s mom, Princess Marie, will celebrate her 40th birthday on February 6.
