Meghan Markle often made headlines with her eat-pray-love lifestyle (she does yoga everywhere!) before her royal wedding to Prince Harry. Documented on The Tig and her Instagram, her adventures took her to a variety of locations, and she shared her thoughts along the way.

Budapest, Hungary

In Meghan's guide to Budapest, she describes the city as one of the most "visually stunning" she's ever visited. She also reminisced about morning runs along the Danube and eating pastries at one of the oldest cafés in Budapest, Ruszwurm.

Brooklyn, NY

Meghan visited New York City often for fashion week and more, so her advice about Brooklyn — namely that the borough is most fun when you're eating and drinking — is on point. (Saraghina is great for both!)

Istanbul, Turkey

Only city in world straddles

After a 48-hour visit, Meghan recommended the Grand Bazaar for rugs, Kiya restaurant for seafood and for your Turkish bath experience, either the Cemberlitas Hamam or the Kilic Ali Pasa Hamam.

Milan, Italy

Duomo square with statue of Victor Emanuel 2nd. Milan, Italy.

In her guide to Milan, Meghan describes "sheets of hand-torn pasta woven through luscious bolognese. Flirting with boys in Venice, when my best friend and I backpacked through the country for spring break ... the perfection of a scoop of nutella gelato dripping down your chin." She also recommends the Brera district for art fanatics and Il Montalcino for dinner.

Iceland's climate might be slightly different from other vacation spots Meghan raves about, but she was still taken with it, writing on her Instagram, "Let’s do this again sometime soon. You’re so pretty, and really nice too. Just my type."

Hydra, Greece

The location Meghan selected for a low-key bachelorette for her best friend Lindsay Roth, Hydra is two hours by boat from Athens. Bikes and donkeys are the only ways to travel around the island, and there's not much to do, which is the whole point, Meghan wrote.

Negril, Jamaica

Jamaica, Westmoreland, Negril, Long Bay, Sunny beach

Meghan's trip to Negril, Jamaica, was so delightful that she almost didn't write about it so she could keep the "specific sliver of paradise" to herself. But instead, she recommends staying at the Rockhouse Hotel or the Pressley and eating lots of jerk salmon sandwiches.

It's no longer a vacation spot for Meghan, but that might make her idea of a good time in London even more compelling, like a catching a play in the West End or hanging out at the Soho House, allegedly where she first met her husband.
