Love the tough guys on Navy N.C.I.S.? Well, we hate to shatter your image, but they’re not so tough. “Mark (Harmon) and I, sometimes we start to giggle, when we’re supposed to look each other in the eye and be kind of tough,” costar Michael Weatherly tells us. “It’s hard for the editors to find bits with us not laughing with tears in our eyes.” Hmm. But there is one thing about which Harmon – PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive in 1986 – is tough: punctuality. “You have to be on time,” Weatherly says. “It’s a Mark Harmon show, and he’s a very punctual guy. He really feels it’s out of respect for the process and all the people who work hard every day, that the actors should really endeavor to be on time. It’s just the Mark Harmon way.” Don’t be late for the show’s season finale on Tuesday – you’ve been warned.

Sister Act
Comic renaissance men Marlon and Damon Wayans just love Paris and Nicky Hilton – especially when they’re bad. That’s because Marlon and brother Shawn send up the hotel scions in their upcoming comedy White Chicks, in which they play undercover cops who infiltrate the Hamptons dressed as young heiresses named, ahem, the Wilson sisters. “They’re pop culture,” says Marlon, 31, of Paris and Nicky. “When the whole (Paris sex-tape scandal) started bubbling, we just got lucky. So Hiltons, keep on screwing up – we’re loving it!” Adds Damon, 43: “This is embracing the Hilton sisters and what they stand for.” Which is? “Why you should never give your daughters your fortune,” says Marlon.

Kiss & Tell
It was a veritable smooch-fest backstage at the outdoor Strokes concert in New York City last week. Despite reports of a breakup, rock prodigies Elizabeth Jagger and Sean Lennon kissed (“There is no way they’ve broken up,” said one onlooker. “They are so obviously in love”), Strokes singer Julian Casablancas and newly minted fiancée Juliet Joslin locked lips, and Drew Barrymore stood by her main man, Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti. Also mingling backstage was Buffalo 66 director Vincent Gallo, who is gearing up for the U.S. release of his latest film, The Brown Bunny, starring Chloe Sevigny.

Just Like Mommy
Brooke Shields began her career as an Ivory Snow baby – so is it any wonder her daughter, Rowan, is a natural in front of the camera? While Mom participated in a recent book reading in SoHo, Rowan busied herself by waving at the paparazzi and playing with a clothes rack, which Shields described as early “retail therapy.” “She loves the camera,” says Shields. “Scary, isn’t it?”

Puppy Love
It was love at first sight for Montel Williams. The object of his affection? A squirmy bulldog puppy auctioned off at the recent Race to Erase MS benefit in Los Angeles. After winning the pooch with a $17,000 bid, Williams named him Bud and sent him home by plane. “I don’t think I’m going to let him out of my sight,” the talk-show host says.
