Mischa: I'm a Workaholic!

She’s got a TV show, movie projects and endorsement deals, and finally Mischa Barton admits: “I’m a bit of a workaholic, I’ve realized.” Indeed. When the O.C. star and Keds spokesmodel – whom we caught up with at L.A.’s Tropicana Bar for the shoemaker and Jane magazine’s 2006 fall collection party – wraps her FOX show on May 5, she’ll head to Toronto just a week later to film the World War II love story Closing the Ring. She’s even spending time helping with research. “I love that period of clothing,” she tells us. “We went to vintage shops – it’s so cool to find a rare piece of fallen-apart clothing.”

Jack Nicholson: Fashionista

Coming straight from a Lakers game, Jack Nicholson took another front-and-center seat to see the action at daughter Jennifer Nicholson’s Fall/Winter 2006 runway show at L.A. Fashion Week. After the flirty dresses made their debut, Dad gave his girl a standing ovation but conceded, “I don’t really know that much about it. I’m wearing basic black.” For him, it was the beautiful women who made it “a nice evening.” Among those ladies: ex Lara Flynn Boyle, who was seated directly across from him.

Caught in the Act

• New mom Meg Ryan (right) and Sheryl Crow, dining in a private poolside cabana at Blue on Blue at the Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills. The ladies, who were having a great time catching up, lingered late into the night.

• A make-up-free Nicollette Sheridan and fiancé Michael Bolton, enjoying brunch in the sun on the patio at Ivy by the Shore in Santa Monica. Afterward, Bolton carried her purse as they waited for the valet.
