Mischa & Cisco: Behind Closed Doors

Plus: Jessica Simpson and Mary-Kate Olsen

Cisco Adler is on the move – literally. The singer and his band, Whitestarr, performed atop a moving truck on Hollywood Boulevard recently to promote the new Hard Rock hotel and condos in San Diego. And even though Adler’s girlfriend, Mischa Barton, wasn’t in the curbside audience, the rocker insists they’re doing fine. “I read (tabloids) and I’m like, ‘We’re on the rocks today, babe. Did you know that?’ ” he tells us. “She’s just a great girl, all around. Besides all the bull–, it’s like, just strip it down and you’ll see what a real person is, especially behind closed doors.”

Adler admitted, though, that Barton gets a little jealous when he’s onstage – often shirtless: “She doesn’t like all the girls screaming at my naked body.” But it must have made her feel better when he whisked her off to Paris for her 20th birthday. “Not a lot of planning – we fly by night,” he says. “Paris is one of the most beautiful cities I’ve seen in my life. It is that romantic cliché.” Still, he hasn’t proposed: “Rumors!”

One Night in the Club …

On a recent Saturday night at the L.A. club Privilege, Jessica Simpson, pal CaCee Cobb and hairstylist Ken Paves arrived so late (12:55 a.m.!) they couldn’t wrangle a front-of-the-room VIP table. No such bad luck for Nicky Hilton and boyfriend Kevin Connelly, who sat with Wilmer Valderrama and engaged in an ice-throwing match with a neighboring table. Meanwhile, Will.I.Am (Black Eyed Peas) cracked open bottles of Cristal at his dance-floor table as Paris Latsis hosted the Pussycat Dolls at his. Also there that night: Mary-Kate Olsen (who got a table), Serena Williams and Tara Reid.

Caught in the Act

Matthew Fox, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, watching (and celebrating) the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Super Bowl victory. The Lost star had bet on the winning team.

Kirsten Dunst (right), dining al fresco on a Caprese salad, pasta with shaved black truffles and tiramisu with her manager at Il Sole on L.A.’s Sunset Boulevard.

Bruce Willis, at club Butter in New York City, dancing on a banquette to a Michael Jackson medley. Also there, at separate tables: Giovanni Ribisi and Dennis Rodman.
