Oscar-winning actor Colin Firth stars in the new action-thriller Kingsman: The Secret Service but the 54-year-old actor would much rather shake hands than snap a selfie. He loves a good Southern California sunrise and admitted vacation is a “distant memory,” when he chatted with PEOPLE this week about “one last thing”

Last sunrise I watched
I was in L.A. for [Golden] Globes weekend. I think Southern California sunsets are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. And I m not just blowing smoke your way!

Last thing I misplaced
This morning it was my phone charger. I was running around the house thinking I would be completely dysfunctional unless it was found.

Last time I was recognized
People coming up and saying something nice is always welcome. But when you’re being secretly photographed, that s not so nice. I would rather shake hands with someone and exchange a few words than take a selfie.

Last vacation
Vacations seem like a distant memory. The last one was Kenya. I went with my family, and we went to the northern region and the coast. We did some safari stuff and visited friends.
