Who has more high-wattage friends than Jesse Harris? The singer/songwriter behind Norah Jones’ ”Don’t Know Why” gathers luminaries — including Willie Nelson, Feist, and Jones herself — to re-create his own, previously recorded tunes for buddy Ethan Hawke’s The Hottest State. Harris, a Kris Kristofferson for the aughts, writes songs that lend themselves well to these gentle interpretations; that sleepy beauty tips toward somnolence, but Sunday-morning comedowns don’t come much lovelier.
