In a post on the “Mass Spell to Bind Donald Trump Feb. 24th” Facebook page, organizers of the demonstration have vowed to cast binding spells on the 70-year-old on the midnight of every waning crescent moon until Trump is removed from office. Organizers noted on the page that they will not perform “hexing” or “cursing” spells, but a binding spell that will restrain Trump “from doing harm.” They likened the binding to “ripping the bullhorn from [Trump’s] hands, smashing his phone so he can’t tweet, tying him up, and throwing him in a dark basement where he can’t hurt anyone.” Casting the spell is open to anyone wishing to participate. On the Facebook page, organizers posted a link in which participants could find ingredients to cast the spells on their own. Components include an “unflattering” photo of Trump, a tarot card, the stub of an orange candle, matches and more. The “Young and Beautiful” singer uploaded a photo of herself donning a serious expression. “At the stroke of midnight Feb 24, March 26, April 24, May 23,” the star wrote. “Ingredients can b found online.” The dates Del Rey mentioned are all nights in which there will be waning crescent moons.
