President Donald Trump‘s 23-year-old daughter, Tiffany Trump, made a rare appearance in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, where she quietly attended a White House event supporting the Wounded Warriors Project.

Tiffany arrived to the nation’s capital on Wednesday afternoon after flying down from New York City with half-brother Eric and his wife, Lara. From there, all five of Trump’s children — Tiffany, Ivanka, Eric, Donald Jr. and 11-year-old Barron — are expected to join him and wife Melania at his Mar-a-Lago estate this weekend.

The Wounded Warriors Project event seems to be Tiffany’s first public appearance at the White House, and her first in Washington since her father’s inauguration in January.

Though the president’s press-shy younger daughter is a great admirer of her older half-sister, Ivanka Trump, 35, a source tells PEOPLE she has no plans to follow in Ivanka’s footsteps to the White House.

“Tiffany looks up to Ivanka but she is not angling for any kind of White house role like Ivanka has,” the source who knows Tiffany explains, referencing Ivanka’s new role as adviser to the president.

“Tiffany is younger and still figuring out what she wants to do … but when her dad calls upon her, she always tries to accommodate,” the source continues. “Of course he hasn’t called upon her that much, but she’s happy to help when he does, like giving the RNC speech.”

In fact, her father’s presidential campaign gave Tiffany an opportunity to get to know her father better as adult.

“The two also traveled together a lot on the campaign … that was a really meaningful time for Tiffany because they got some one-on-one time on the private plane,” the source says. “It’s actually some of the only time she’s ever been alone with him as an adult.”

Though the whole Trump family will be gathering in Palm Beach, Florida, this weekend, the trip won’t be all pleasure. The president and first lady will also host Chinese President Xi and his wife, Peng Liyuan, for dinner and meetings at Mar-a-Lago.

Since the election, Tiffany has been spending most of her time in New York City, where she lives in a Trump property.

“She interned for Warby Parker last summer and she is interested in fashion but she is carefully choosing her next move and doesn’t appear to be rushing in any particular direction,” the source says. “At one point she was studying for the LSAT but it’s unclear if she has concrete plans for law school.”

Though Tiffany hasn’t been in touch with Ivanka as much since their father took office, the source says the two are “still close,” with Ivanka always making sure her younger sister is “taken care of.”
