Sen. Ted Cruz didn't get the chance to wrap up at the Faith and Freedom Coalition conference Thursday
Well, that was uncomfortable.
At the Faith and Freedom Coalition conference on Thursday in Washington, D.C., Ted Cruz enthusiastically addressed the audience.
“Thank you for your prayers, thank you for your passion, thank you for your time, thank you for your energy, thank you for speaking out and working to retake our nation!”
Cruz wasn’t quite finished yet, but unfortunately for the Republican senator, the sound coordinators thought he was. They cued the transition music, and the emcee introduced the next speaker.

The senator was notably puzzled, and Twitter had some fun with his on-stage reaction.
Despite his confusion, Cruz did make an attempt to play it cool. But his departure from the stage prompted a plethora of memes.
And to top it off, Virginia Galloway, the southern regional director of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, confidently strutted onto the stage next, as if she knew the Texan senator was to be prematurely booted.
