Reese Witherspoon dished about her favorite roles – and ones she'd revisit – in a Facebook Live Q&A
Capitol Barbie may be returning to Congress’ hallowed halls.
“A lot of people have asked me if we’re going to make another [Legally Blonde], and we’re thinking about it,” Witherspoon said in a Facebook Live Q&A session on Thursday. The actress recently celebrated the film’s 15th anniversary in July.
Witherspoon said that she loved playing sorority girl-turned-lawyer Elle because of “all the amazing costumes,” and one special costar: her onscreen pet pooch Bruiser.
“I got to work with a dog every day and I love dogs,” she gushed. “I’m obsessed with dogs.”
In fact, the late Chihuahua (Moonie) was Witherspoon’s favorite costar.
Legally Blonde isn’t the only vintage Witherspoon flick the 40-year-old is game to bring back. She also told viewers she’d be happy to revisit fashion designer Melanie from 2002’s Sweet Home Alabama.
“We are not making a sequel that I know of, but if Disney wants to make a sequel they can just call me,” she said. “I would happily make Sweet Home Alabama 2.”
Other Witherspoon favorites include Tracy Flick in Election, Cheryl Strayed in Wild and working with Sofia Vergara in Hot Pursuit.
No matter what, Witherspoon said that she views her films only once: “I see them one time and I never see them again.”
