The former model, 46, spends most of her time caring for 11-year-old son Barron at their home in NYC’s Trump Tower, where a White House aide has said they will remain at least until the school year ends.
Critics have rebuked Melania over what they view as her failure to embrace her role as first lady, and over the price of protecting her and her son in Trump Tower, which the NYPD has said will cost between $127,000 and $146,000 per day.

More than 260,000 people have signed a recent Change.org petition demanding Melania move to the White House — or pay for the “exorbitant” security costs at Trump Tower herself.

1. Inauguration Day, Jan. 20:
Then-outgoing President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama welcomed the Trumps to the White House for a traditional tea reception on inauguration morning.
2. Feb 15:
The Trumps welcomed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, to the White House in the first lady’s first official White House appearance since her husband’s inauguration.

3. Feb. 26:
Melania joined her husband at the White House for the 2017 Governors Ball.
4. March 8:
The president and first lady hosted Sen. Ted Cruz and his family for dinner at the White House.
Earlier in the day, Melania spoke at a White House luncheon honoring International Women’s Day, where she was joined briefly by her husband.
5. March 17:
The president and first lady, joined by son Barron, held hands as they crossed the lawn outside the Oval Office before boarding Marine One and heading to Trump’s “Winter White House” at Mar-a-Lago.
6. March 28:
The president and first lady hosted senators and their spouses for a dinner at the White House.
