Melania Trump Saying She Wants to Spend Christmas on a Deserted Island Lights Up Twitter

Twitter was very amused when Melania Trump shared her ideal Christmas plans

Melania Trump isn’t exactly helping to tamp down talk of her being miserable in the White House.

Earlier this month — and just a week after President Donald Trump issued a tweet denying claims that Melania had dreaded her husband winning the 2016 presidential election and didn’t want to be first lady — Melania said something that many have interpreted to illustrate her misery.

On Dec. 7, during her visit to the Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., Melania was asked by a 10-year-old boy where she’d most like to spend the upcoming holiday.

And to Twitter’s amusement, the first lady replied, “I would spend my holidays on a deserted island, a tropical island ― with my family.”

Melania Trump’s Christmas wish is for her family to go to a deserted island. Funny, that was mine, too” one Twitter user wrote.

While another said: “I have a feeling a lot of Americans are wishing for the exact same thing.”

But not all Twitter users were so convinced that Melania wanted to take her husband along with her.

Replying to one Twitter user who asked about starting a fundraising campaign for her and her husband, another wrote, “I’m pretty sure she didn’t invite him into the fantasy.”
