Earlier this month — and just a week after President Donald Trump issued a tweet denying claims that Melania had dreaded her husband winning the 2016 presidential election and didn’t want to be first lady — Melania said something that many have interpreted to illustrate her misery. On Dec. 7, during her visit to the Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., Melania was asked by a 10-year-old boy where she’d most like to spend the upcoming holiday.
