Kareem Abdul-Jabbar addressed the Democratic National Convention Thursday night to support Hillary Clinton, and had social media fired up after his deadpan introductory joked scored huge.

“I’m Michael Jordan and I’m here with Hillary,” the 69-year-old said after taking the stage. “I said that because I know that Donald Trump couldn’t tell the difference.”

After handing the Republican nominee an epic burn, the Twittersphere blew up in reaction.

The NBA hall-of-famer, a Muslim-American, also spoke about the candidate’s rhetoric regarding Muslims.

“Donald Trump’s idea to register Muslims and prevent them from entering our country is the very tyranny [Thomas] Jefferson abhorred,” he said.

“At its core, discrimination is the result of fear,” he also said. “Those who think Americans scare easily enough to abandon our country’s ideals in exchange for a false sense of security underestimate our resolve.”
