Hillary Clinton (Sort of) Promises to One-Up SNL's Kate McKinnon
"The next debate -- cartwheels," Hillary Clinton said
Watch out, Kate McKinnon!
Although Hillary Clinton is in the midst of an intense campaign, she still found time to catch the recent season premiere of Saturday Night Live — and the Democratic nominee says she may have to channel some of McKinnon’s theatrics for her next showdown with Donald Trump.
“I’ll tell you, when Kate McKinnon came out with the walker, I thought I was going to fall off my chair … Oh, my gosh, she was amazing. I wish I could do the jumps, the splits, the somersault,” Clinton, 68, told Extra‘s AJ Calloway.
“I’ve been working on it … the next debate, the next debate — cartwheels.”
The NBC sketch comedy show returned from its summer break with a bang — even enlisting Alec Baldwin to play the Trump to McKinnon’s Clinton.
Naturally, the episode began with a parody of the first 2016 presidential debate and McKinnon entered the stage with an over-the-top entrance (cane and all) that called to mind Gene Wilder’s grand entrance in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. She and Baldwin both nailed their impressions of the presidential hopefuls.
Clinton said Baldwin’s portrayal of her rival was “perfect.”

“His look, his scowling, his staring down then muttering his response, he was perfect,” she said.
The next presidential debate takes place on Sunday at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
We’re looking forward to those cartwheels, Hillary.
