Although she won’t be voting, it’s safe to say Dame Helen Mirren won’t be cheering for Donald Trump or Ted Cruz.

The English actress voiced her thoughts on the presidential elections, specifically against the Republican party.

“There is an extraordinary, extreme, right-wing voice in America – extreme,” Mirren, 70, said to British broadcaster Channel 4 News. “If that does get into power fully – in the Congress, in the Senate, in the White House and has all the power that it wants, I can’t imagine how the world would look. I think it’s a very, very frightening idea, myself.”

Although she did not name Trump or Cruz specifically, the Oscar winner did make a reference to Trump’s ‘Make America Great Again” slogan.

“This whole idea of ‘making America great’ it seems to me it would actually be sort of the end of America as a great country,” Mirren retorted.

This is not the first time the Trumbo star has been on the anti-Trump bandwagon.

At the Gotham Awards in November, Mirren called the Republican presidential candidate “stupid.”
