On the red carpet, designer Roberto Cavalli is known not only for his flashy gowns and celeb clientele, but also his love of animal print. Now the designer is taking his passion literally, in the form of a fun line of clothing and accessories for pets – but you’ll have to be willing to drop designer-worthy dough to get the gear; prices run from $110 (for tees) to $1200 (for a dog carrier)! This chic leopard tracksuit is priced at $260.

Introduced yesterday, Roberto Cavalli Pets will feature fun and practical pieces like printed T-shirts, polo shirts and sweaters, and more luxurious items, such as shearling jackets, satin-trimmed robes and velour tracksuits. Stemming from Cavalli’s wife’s love of animals, the line will be available for small and medium dogs beginning on March 31 at Roberto Cavalli boutiques. As a stylish bonus, most clothing will come bedecked with a funky jaguar-like print that uses mini-paws instead of the typical spots. The label is also rolling out a patent leather passport wallet (for dogs on the go!), a quilted dog carrier bag with satin lining, patent collars and leashes and more. (Bowls, beds and jewelry are expected in the months ahead.)
