Could you pop 100 balloons in just over 39 seconds?

We doubt it.

And that’s because you’re just not as good as Twinkie the Jack Russell Terrier. (At life.)

Twinkie (and by extension, her trainer Doree Sitterly) shattered the Guinness World Record for fastest time to pop 100 balloons, clocking in at an astonishing 39.08 seconds.

That beats the previous record of 41.67, held by Cally the Wonderdog and her trainer Mitch Jenkins. They set that in May 2015 on Britain’s Got Talent.

Here’s where things get heated: Twinkie is actually the second in a line of balloon-popping Jack Russells. Her mom, Anastacia (how you go from naming a dog Anastacia [DASH] from the Greek word “anastasi” or “resurrection,” to naming her daughter Twinkie, perhaps the definitive American junk food [DASH] is beyond us, but whatever) set and broke the balloon-popping record twice between 2005 and 2008, holding onto it until 2015, when Cally the Wonderdog snatched it from her.

So Twinkie’s victory was both personal and professional. Revenge, some have said, is a dish of dog food best served while a Jack Russell Terrier pops 100 balloons.
