It’s Jaws from a first person perspective.

According to Mashable, college student Tyler McQuillen was enjoying a dive off the coast of Santa Barbara, California, when he received a terrifying jolt.

McQuillen, who was filming his dive on a GoPro camera, originally thought his friends were pranking him when he felt a push from behind, but soon found out the terrifying truth: He was being attacked by a great white shark.

After biting his foot, the giant predator started swimming in circles around McQuillen.

Using the spear gun he thankfully had on hand, the student pushed through his fear and jabbed at the shark when it passed by him again.

This brave act was enough to scare off the animal and spare McQuillen’s life. He swam off from the encounter with some minor injuries to his toes and truly frightening footage.
