Toronto natives Rems and Shmends — who are this week’s #cutepic winners! — have more than 44,000 Instagram followers, but that doesn’t stop them from bringing their “A” game EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. they post a photo (with funny quotes that will have you cracking up at your desk). Their owner, Hailey, who works in digital advertising at Adobe, says, “Together, the dogs love to play in the snow and eat. The dogs do regular visits, charity events, that promote dog-related causes or just causes that they (I) are passionate about.”
“Last night was lit,” says 9-year-old King Charles Cavalier spaniel, Shmends, on Instagram.
NEW YEAR, SAME REMS
“Happy new year and hope your hangover isn’t as bad as mine,” 5-year-old golden retriever, Rems, on Instagram. His owner describes him as “the most loving and gentle creature you’ve ever met.”
“I recently added squats to my workouts by moving the beer into the bottom shelf of the fridge,” Rems says. Adds owner Hailey: “Every time he sees someone he knows and loves, he brings them something — anything — a treat, a squeaky toy, a glove. Seriously. He loves gloves.”
“In which we display the feeling that is hungry,” says Rems. When it comes to food, his owner says, “For Rems, hands down, boiled chicken is the holy grail of hooman food. Shmends prefers an array of foods — from rice crackers to yogurt, he is quite easy to please. No promises he won’t be asking for seconds.”
“No one can drive us crazy unless we give them the keys,” says Shmends. Hailey describes the pup as “incredibly loving to a very select few, very grumpy to others.”
