Stepping into New York’s Canine Caviar store, you know you’re in for a treat. The spot is as luxe as its surroundings – Manhattan’s Time Warner Center shopping mall near Central Park – and the staff cares for its four-legged customers like old friends. (They even had a bitty 3-week-old cat hanging around when we stopped by!)

Situated on the sunny first floor, above Whole Foods and in front of Williams-Sonoma, the space is the company’s first-ever storefront. And while it probably stands out as the sole pet store in the building, it’s also known for its high-quality food – and mouth-watering treats.

Dogs drool over the company’s dried sweet potatoes (they’re safe for humans, too!), as well as a variety of chews and treats made using buffalo meat – healthier and leaner than beef. There’s also kibble made using venison, canned turkey, beaver and duck (yum), and for cats, chicken, salmon and more.

Canine Caviar is a holistic company, presenting its food as a raw meat diet in kibble form, meaning it’s cooked for just six seconds to make digestion easier on animals. And all food aims to be allergen-free, created without wheat, corn, soy or chemical preservatives.

Canine Caviar ships internationally, and for New Yorkers on the go, offers door-to-door delivery. And the best part? A portion of proceeds benefit the company’s pet cancer research foundation, so when you buy a bag, you’re not only making a difference for your pet, but pets in need, as well.
