Meet Sweet William. Sweet William is a baby skunk who this gentleman, Farmer Bob, found sick and orphaned on the side of the road.

Bob nursed the little guy back to health for two weeks, letting him sleep in his pocket until he got his health back, at which point he said he’d let him wander off again.

Incidentally, Bob says he named the skunk after a kind of annual flower called a Sweet William, though it could also be a reference to the old jazz tune “Big Bad Bill (is Sweet William Now).” Our suggestion is to mute the sound and just listen to the Leon Redbone version of the song while you watch the skunk caper around. It’s a very pleasing combination.
