This Couple Had an Adorable Gender Reveal Photo Shoot for Their Newly Adopted Puppy
This Missouri couple wanted to find a special way to introduce their adopted puppy to the world
Kennedy Sartwell and Jake Terry of Warrensburg, Missouri, are geniuses.
The couple recently adopted a precious puppy named Raven and are understandably excited about the new arrival. Instead of posting about the baby dog on Facebook or sending photos to a group chat, the pet parents decided to do something bigger to announce Raven to the world.
Sartwell and Terry, who have been together 5 years, recruited a professional photographer, Kennedy's mother, Cristy Sartwell of Infinite Smile Photography, to shoot a sex reveal photo series.
Like many sex reveal shoots, this one started with a happy couple and a closed box filled with balloons.
The box is opened and the sex is revealed. Pink balloons! Which means it's a girl.
This is where things got a little different, and a little more furry. Instead of revealing the sex of a human baby, turns out these balloons were for an adorable lady puppy.
The rest of the photos revel in just how cute this new addition, a Labrador German shepherd mix, truly is.
While Cristy was the photographer, it was Raven who was calling the shots.
"It was the dog's photo shoot and she ran the show," Kennedy told ABC News.
This original idea and Raven's expert direction led to a photoshoot that has been shared close to 160,000 times on Facebook.
"It was a quick shoot for Jake and Kennedy to show their puppy to their family and friends, and we had no intention of this," Cristy said. "But it's exciting."
