Modern life is full of uncertainties. What happens when we die? Did Lee Harvey Oswald act alone? What happened in the last episode of The Sopranos?

Is there or is there not a lion currently wandering around Milwaukee?

Look, we don’t know. All we know is that Police Chief Edward Flynn says that officers are on the lookout after a north side resident provided the department with a cell-phone video of what he describes as a “lion-ish creature.” (Multiple sightings have been reported since then.)

Here are some things that could fit the description “lion-ish”: Ron Perlman in the ’80s TV show Beauty and the Beast. Lion-O from ThunderCats. The mythological beast known as the griffin (from behind). King Richard I of England, popularly known as Richard the Lionheart.

Officers have not found anything as of Wednesday morning. Flynn added that it’s “theoretically possible” a wild cat made its way into the city.

Here are some other things that are “theoretically possible”: Time travel. A satisfying ending to Lost. A number of Instagram likes and/or followers that will fill the emptiness you feel inside.
