A Welsh couple died Wednesday during what is speculated to be an attempt to rescue a dog from a river. Although that motive couldn’t be confirmed, witnesses say they saw the 27- and 25-year-olds walking five dogs along the water, which was raised higher than usual because of rainfall. – Telegraph

Cats continue to show catwalk potential: A Japanese company, Neurowear, introduced a wearable feline tail that wags according to the user’s mood. The device uses a headset, a clip-on heart monitor and a smartphone application to analyze the tail-wearer’s brain waves. –New York Daily News
