Researchers at Northwestern University say that they have “found a way to safely and rapidly turn off the allergic response to food allergies.” In experiments on mice bred to have food allergies, scientists introduced proteins to blood cells that stopped the allergic reaction. –CBS News

An Indiana man driving through Georgia refused to let police officers search his car at a highway traffic stop, and explained it was because he had snakes in his car. Officers found 10 snakes and three different lizard species in the vehicle. –Atlanta Journal-Constitution
