Patrick, the so-called Miracle Dog whose emaciated body was found in a trash bag after it was thrown 19 stories down a trash chute in New Jersey, has been eating and his condition continues to improve in the care of veterinarians. –NBC Los Angeles

There may also be justice for Patrick now that a 28-year-old Newark woman has been charged with “torture and torment of a living creature.” If convicted, she could be fined $3,000 or spend 18 months in prison. –

It isn’t the missing Bronx Zoo cobra, but a snake showed up in a toilet in Germany, surprising the 7-year-old girl who needed to use the bathroom. –AFP
