Nestlé has produced a new TV commercial in which it uses high-frequency tones that are intended to appeal directly to dogs. The commercial is being tested in Germany and Austria, and is supposed to prompt dogs to wag their tails. –WSJ.com

Dognappers in Vietnam are not only stealing pet dogs from residents but are inciting violence at the same time. The thieves are stealing dogs to sell to restaurants for meat, and several deaths have resulted from clashes between villages and dognappers. –AP
