For the second time in two weeks, a flying squirrel has been spotted cruising through the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Rahway, N.J. Firefighters were called on Tuesday night when the tiny animal kept launching itself from an 8-ft. high wall-mounted lamp into a glass wall. They believe there is a nest somewhere in the building.–The Associated Press

A woman accused of keeping over 100 dogs in deplorable conditions in two of her Seattle homes is a judge for the American Kennel Club. A spokesperson for the AKC says the organization is aware that one of its judges is currently under investigation for animal cruelty and as a result they have temporarily suspended the judge’s privileges.–

Canine Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is becoming more common in dogs that have served on the frontlines, with an estimated 5 percent of American military dogs suffering from the disorder. –

Sebastian has been dubbed the “bionic cat” after surviving a four-story fall from a window in Birmingham, England, three months ago. He’s made a full recovery after he was fitted with metal supports in his legs.–
