Two months after she was caught on camera riding a manatee, a Florida woman was arrested over the weekend for violating the state’s Manatee Sanctuary Act. Family say she’s embarrassed and upset over the arrest, which occurred while she was working a shift as a cleaner at Sears. –ABC News

Rocker Bret Michaels is teaming up with PetSmart Charities to speak out on behalf of the estimated eight million pets that end up in animal shelters across North America every year. “I’ve always been a pet lover, and pet adoption is something that is really important to me,” he says. “I’ve even been known to pick up homeless pets while on tour to try and find good homes for them.” –Huffington Post
