Like any dogged journalist, we go where the story is.

And today, that’s the 138th annual Westminster Kennel Club dog show in New York City, where over 2,000 canines are competing for one very important title: Best in Show.

But before any of these dogs can claim victory, they need to look their best. Preparation is key and requires many hours – not to mention hairbrushes, combs and products. We trekked to the hub of this year’s canine chaos, Piers 92/94, to give you a glimpse of the fur flying. The mane event airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. on USA Network.
