The Sex and the City alum "adopts" a baby elephant named Ajuba

Kristin Davis has adopted a baby girl – oh, did we mention she has a trunk?

The Sex and the City actress welcomed Ajuba, a baby female elephant, to her family while working with The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya.

"Ajuba lives at @DSWT, I adopted her + u can too!" reads the caption for a photo she posted Tuesday on Twitter.

Ajuba isn't the first gentle giant that Davis has sponsored through the organization. In 2009, she was elated over her adoption of Chaimu, an abandoned female elephant that she helped save from the lava slopes of Kenya's Chyulu Hills.

As a spokesperson for DSWT, Davis, 48, advocates for a ban on the sale of ivory to keep elephants from extinction. Did we mention she also gets to hang out with these cuddly creatures, including Solio the rhino (whom she also shared a photo of on Tuesday)?

"Solio, a Black Rhino, loves an afternoon scratch," she Tweets. "Always amazing 2 B around these animals."
