The Daily Treat: How Milwaukee Brewers Dog Hank Became the MVP of Opening Day

The baseball season is off to a paw-some start in Milwaukee

No bones about it: Hank the dog is here to stay – fur-ever!

The unofficial mascot for the Milwaukee Brewers, a former stray who wandered into the baseball team’s complex during spring training in Phoenix, Ariz., ruled Opening Day Monday at Miller Park in Milwaukee, Wis.

The adorable rescue pup (believed to be a bichon frisé mix) gave batting practice a try as onlookers snapped photos.

Figuring it’d be good luck, he gave the game day ball a good sniff before his team faced off against the Atlanta Braves. Turns out Hank nose what he’s doing: the Brewers won 2-0!
