If kids do the darnedest things, teenagers do the dumbest things.

According to KFOR, a lovelorn 16-year-old full of bravado and bad ideas allegedly decided to jump into the zebra habitat of the Oklahoma City Zoo on a dare.

The teenager, who has not been identified, has since been charged with criminal trespassing. A police report from the incident says the boy jumped into the enclosure after a girl said she would give him her number if he pulled off the stunt.

Zoo officials learned the teen intentionally climbed two barriers to reach the exhibit shortly after he entered the habitat. According to the zoo, the uninvited guest startled two zebras, but did not come in contact with the animals. The teen was only in the habitat for a few minutes, and the zebras were fortunately left unharmed by the daringly dumb escapade.

Security at the zoo held the 16-year-old until the police arrived. Authorities gave the teen a ticket for criminal trespassing and sent him home with his dad.
