Salma Hayek has made some famous feathered friends: the notorious pigeons of Venice’s Piazza San Marco.

Earlier this month, the actress spent time in the Italian city with her husband, François-Henri Pinault, and their daughter Valentina, who turns 4 next week. The trio took in the city sights by gondola and mingled among tourists (and hundreds of birds) in the square.

While her parents watched and took pictures, Valentina got very close to the gray pigeons, who flapped in her face and tried to scurry away as the little girl chased after them.
