Special Delivery! Bo Obama Helps Receive White House Christmas Tree
The First Dog helps Mrs. O shepherd the 19-foot Fraser fir into its new home
Forget eating leftovers – Bo Obama had some official business to attend to the day after Thanksgiving.
On Nov. 23, the First Dog helped Michelle Obama and First Daughters Sasha and Malia welcome a 19-foot Fraser fir into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The tree arrived on a horse-drawn carriage, which Bo was a little apprehensive of at first. The First Lady had to pull Bo around to it so that he would inspect the tree with she and the girls.
Mrs. O proudly gave the thumbs up to the towering tree, confirming that it will be suitable for display in the Blue Room, just as it has every year since 1966.
This year’s tree pays tribute to the armed forces and will feature ornaments decorated by children living on U.S. military bases all over the world. The new decorations will be revealed at a press preview Wednesday – let’s hope Bo is briefed for another appearance!
