Someone’s sleepy! Siku settles down for an adorable bit of shut-eye at his home in Jutland, Denmark, where the 1-month-old polar bear cub currently resides with zookeeper Frank Vigh-Larsen.

After his Nov. 22 birth, caretakers at the Scandinavian Wildlife Park learned Siku’s mother Ika could not produce enough milk to feed him, so they have been hand-rearing him ever since.

Following a year of care, Siku will be reintroduced to the park’s polar bear community, but until then, he is happy to consider Vigh-Larsen his surrogate mother.

As a maturing newborn, there’s plenty of cuteness in the future for Siku, whose name comes from the Greenlandic word for “sea ice.”
