Sandra Bullock's Furbabies!
ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL
Bullock, who shared her beautiful adopted newborn Louis with PEOPLE this week, is already an experienced adoptive mother to two pooches named Poppy and Ruby.
Ruby, a two-legged Chihuahua, and Poppy, a three-legged Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix, usually get hoisted up into Mom’s arms. “Where I go, they go,” she told PEOPLE. “Who’s going to walk a two-legged dog?”
Bullock, who sees her pups as perfectly normal creatures, told PEOPLE that “any dog that is missing something is welcome” in her home.
A FRIEND IN ME
And anyway, what’s normal? “If it has four legs and is perfectly okay, it’s got to have some emotional problems!”
By virtue of not having her front legs, Ruby enjoys being carried. “She was born with, like, a little flipper here, and a little flipper here,” Bullock said on The Ellen Degeneres Show. “She’s like a little dinosaur, a velociraptor.”
SPREADING THE WEALTH
Making sure everybody gets their share, Mom gives Poppy some time in her arms.
ATTACHED AT THE HIP
Bullock told InStyle that the dogs always slept on her bed with her. “I love them so much.”
NEED A HAND?
Special needs pups can always count on Bullock for help. She has said that she works to find homes for those animals that need them.
THE THING CALLED LOVE
“They seem to find us,” the actress has said of her loving, though physically limited, pups.
DEVOTED TO YOU
Through thick and thin, Bullock has had her friends by her side – human and furry – and it’s no wonder! A dog couldn’t ask for a better mommy!
