Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell Star in Adorable Adoption PSA with Their Six Sweet Pups
Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell are urging fans to adopt shelter dogs and cats with a paw-sitively adorable video
Snuggling up to the family’s six adorable rescue dogs, Romijn, 46 — who is teaming up with Hallmark Channel’s Adoption Ever After campaign — urges fans to adopt instead of shop.
In the sweet video, the couple’s pups Pippa, Pirate, Holiday, Phil, Doug and Tater steal the show as they romp around the yard and cozy up to mom and dad for snuggles.
Hallmark Channel is partnering with North Shore Animal League America‘s 500 participating shelters to promote shelter pet adoption across the country from Feb 2. through Feb. 16, as well as teaming up with Adopt-A-Pet.com and 70 of the organization’s shelters from Feb. 17 through Feb. 28.
“I am proud to be part of Adoption Ever After which is committed to ensuring all shelter pets find a loving home. Promoting pet adoption, providing resources and sharing incredible ways animals make our lives better are just a few ways that we can all make a difference,” says Romijn in a statement.
Adds Bill Abbott, president and CEO of Crown Media Family Networks: “Through our corporate initiative Adoption Ever After, and our original pet specials, Cat Bowl, Kitten Bowl and American Rescue Dog Show, the nation’s shelters come together to focus on the life-saving act of pet adoption. Pets are humanizing, and it is the goal of Adoption Ever After to see that shelters are empty, and homes are full.”
Kitten Bowl VI airs Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. EST and Cat Bowl airs Feb. 2. at 10 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel. Romijn and O’Connell will host the American Rescue Dog Show on Feb. 17 and Feb. 18, also airing on Hallmark.
