Being on Real Housewives of New Jersey, Dolores Catania knows a thing about drama, but she is also a rescue dog expert.
“I’ve always had rescue dogs … but the past two years I have put a lot of energy to rescuing these animals,” the reality star told PEOPLE.
Following this passion, Catania and her daughter continue to visit her old neighborhood and pull strays off the street so they can find forever homes.
The pair makes sure each pup gets a long, loving bath and a trip to the vet. It’s a kind gesture that goes a long way in changing the lives of animals who are down on their luck. You can see the appreciation on their furry faces.
It’s something that has had an amazing effect on Catania as well.
“Nothing makes me more fulfilled than giving an animal a better quality of life,” she shared.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Sundays, 8 p.m. on Bravo.
