Merri-Lee Stine’s mom had a really good Christmas in 2010

As the holiday season approaches, it’s important to pre-game by watching heartwarming videos of people getting Christmas presents.

And probably the most touching sub-genre of that group is dog lovers being given dogs.

Pennsylvanian Merri-Lee Stine uploaded this video to YouTube in 2010, so it’s an oldie but a goodie. Stine’s mother is a huge dog lover. Sadly, a few months before Christmas in that year, her beloved chihuahua, Lady, passed away.

The family’s decision to surprise her with a new puppy on Christmas Day isn’t really the point of this video. (You can skip to around two minutes in if you’re averse to anticipation-building.) That would be Stine’s mom’s reaction to Archie, the little bundle of joy dropped in her lap.

(As Stine’s YouTube channel shows, Archie is still a happy member of the family four years later.) RELATED: See Celebrities and Their Pet BFFs!
