You drink filtered water, so why shouldn’t your pet? Because it’s hard to find a reasonably priced filtered water dispenser that’s the perfect size for your furry guy, that’s why! Well, now there’s an easy solution.

PetSafe’s new Healthy Pet Water Station ($28.95 for a small size) delivers fresh chlorine-free and sediment-free water to your pet in a dishwasher safe stainless steel bowl – all thanks to a small, quiet purifying filter and a little thing called gravity (just like one of those PUR water filters you drink from at home). The carbon activated filter that you place inside (and change every 6 to 8 weeks) does all the work for you, cleaning the water before it hits the dish and removing odor, which the company claims will entice pets to drink more. The filters come in packs of 2 for $8.99.

We don’t believe any more water was consumed by our feline testers, but we definitely felt better giving them water that was apparently cleaner, just like the kind we drink. And, as an added bonus, all of the parts are BPA free (Bisphenol A is a chemical found in plastics which research has found to be harmful in studies) – another thing to feel good about.

The company also makes a matching gravity food feeder for $28.95.
