This little bird isn’t ready to leave Mom’s side yet, but a quick peek doesn’t hurt, right? The emperor penguin is one of two born successfully at a zoo in China’s Liaoning Province, and it’s looking healthy and ready to grow.

Its mother, however, might feel a little differently. Who wouldn’t want to keep staring at the baby bird’s face for a while longer?
