Oh, Baby! Newborn Elephant Tips the Scales in Australia
The unnamed baby calf was delivered in Sydney on the Fourth of July
Is there an elephant in the room? At Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia, the answer is yes! A still-to-be-named baby calf was born on the Fourth of July to mom Thong Dee. According to Life.com, the baby will live in a heated barn until he’s ready to head out in public to the zoo’s Wild Asia display. Though he’s still a “little guy,” he reportedly weighed 220 lbs. just two days after his birth! We can’t wait to watch him grow up.
