Novak Djokovic advanced to the semifinals at Wimbledon on Wednesday, but the Serb isn’t feeling 100 percent about the tournament.

He misses his dog.

The tennis star’s pure-white poodle, Pierre, is a constant presence in Djokovic’s life. Whether modeling for the cover of L’Uomo Vogue or talking on Twitter, they’re usually seen together.

Wimbledon is the exception to the rule. Perhaps due to the U.K.’s strict rules concerning pets entering the country, Pierre has not been granted entry.

“He is upset that he can’t bring Pierre to Wimbledon and he is pleading with authorities to let the dog in,” a source told the U.K.’s Telegraph. “Whenever he can he takes the dog with him. He is genuinely upset. For him, this is a very serious issue.”

But, being the pro he is, Djokovic soldiers on, and has pushed through nine days of the world’s most famous grass court tournament. Pierre would be proud.
