The dogs are out and all over Google.
Thankfully, Franchise Opportunities is trying to round them up. The company recently took the American Kennel Club’s “Top 50 Dog Breeds of 2017” list and pulled data for each breed and their related search terms from Google Trends.
After crunching the numbers and lint-rolling up all the dog hair, Franchise Opportunities sorted out the search info for each state. The breed that generated the most search interest for each state was awarded the title of “Most Popular Dog Breed” for that state.
Based on those metrics, Doberman Pinschers are the real winners. They peaked the interest of six different states, dominating searches more than any other breed. Following this black-and-tan breed was the French bulldog, who ruled over four states, and Rottweilers, who took three states.
