If your Facebook feed is starting to resemble a zoo registry, your friends have likely discovered – and failed at – the Great Giraffe Challenge, a new game that’s stretching its long neck across the Internet.

Here’s how it goes:

“It’s 3:00 am, the doorbell rings and you wake up. Unexpected visitors. It’s your parents and they are there for breakfast. You have strawberry jam, honey, wine, bread and cheese. What is the first thing you open?”

According to the riddle’s rules, set forth by vlogger Andrew Strugnell via YouTube and Facebook last week, those who fail to answer correctly must replace their Facebook profile picture with a photo of a giraffe, accompanied by the following explanation: “I’ve changed my profile to a giraffe. I tried to answer a riddle and got it wrong. Try the great giraffe challenge!”

To help you stand out from the rest of the herd, we’d like to suggest the following 8 giraffe photo options.

Meet the Most Interesting Giraffe in The World: “I don’t always eat twigs, but when I do they’re from the Acacia tree.

This ‘lil squirt was born on Oct. 5 in Japan’s Himeji Central Park. He wants to be your friend.

This giraffe is not impressed.

Believes there’s an art to the perfect comb-over.

Lives on a couch in his mother’s basement.

Considers himself a gluten-free herbivore. Is still figuring out what gluten actually is.

Believes tongues were meant for wagging. Also prone to twerking.

Poor Geoff. It’s never cool when mom, dad — and your creepy uncle — show up for picture day at school.
