The basketball star took a back seat to the young cub at Chengdu’s Panda Reserve

On each leg of his summer tour of Asia with Nike, LeBron James has been greeted by a frenzy of camera-toting fans. But when the 6-ft., 8-in. basketball star kicked back with a panda cub at the Chengdu Panda Reserve, he was the one doing the admiring.

“Relaxing and holding down the pandas!” said James, who shared a photo of his panda cuddle on Twitter Sunday. RELATED: 15 Drop-Dead Cute Pandas

The pro athlete earned a little R&R after leading a basketball clinic for kids earlier in the day. Fans clamored for shots of James with his beary cute companion – everyone except for the panda, who was much more interested in chomping on bamboo.
