Following her dog's death, LeAnn Rimes rescheduled three of her concerts
LeAnn Rimes is mourning the loss of her beloved dog Eveie.
On Thursday, Rimes, 36, revealed her pooch died after being attacked by a coyote as the singer watched on helpless to save her pup from the vicious animal.
“This is one of the most difficult, heartbroken moments our whole family has ever experienced,” Rimes captioned a slideshow of photos of Eveie on Instagram.
“Our baby, Eveie, was attacked in front of us yesterday by a coyote. She was so much more than our dog, she was an old soul,” Rimes continued.
“She’d look in your eyes and speak deeply into you without any words. Eddie, the boys and myself are left with such a hole in our family and in our hearts. She was our daughter, our boy’s best friend,” Rimes said of her husband Eddie Cibrian and his sons Jake, 11, and Mason, 15, with ex Brandi Glanville.
Rimes later admitted that she and her family have taken turns “crying and consoling” each other as they cope with life without Eveie.
“We were so blessed to have her stumble into our lives, to have LovEd her with every inch of our being and to have her LovE us back just the same.”
“They’ll never be another Eveie, she was one of a kind. There will always be great LovE and gratitude in our hearts for the years we were so blessed to care for her.”
“Eveie, I know you can hear us when we say, ‘You were and always will be our angel. We LovE you beyond, beyond. Rest well and we’ll see you again when we ourselves leave this earth plane to join you in the vast field of consciousness,” Rimes concluded.
The sweet tribute compiled of a number of memories Rimes and Cibrian, 45, shared with the small dog.
In the first shot, “The Gift of Your Love” singer can be seen embracing Eveie while smiling with her eyes closed.
In the second photo, Rimes held Eveie in the air and gave her a kiss.
Rimes also shared photos of Eveie from Christmas wearing a Santa Claus hat as well as an adorable shot of Eveie lounging next to Cibrian.
On Friday, Rimes shared another series of photos of herself with Eveie, which show the dog sweetly kissing Rimes on the cheek as she lies in a pile of leaves.
Eveie’s traumatic death caused LeAnn, who is currently on tour, to reschedule three of her shows.
“Due to a sudden loss, the following shows are being rescheduled,” Rimes wrote on Twitter Thursday.
“The Newton Theatre in NJ is being rescheduled to Thursday, May 2nd The Cabot in Beverly is being rescheduled to Thursday, February 28th The Flying Monkey in NH has been rescheduled to Friday, March 1st.”
Rimes’ tour follows behind her sixth holiday tour in support of her Hallmark Channel movie It’s Christmas Eve.
The film marked Rimes first project as an executive producer. “Coming in as an executive producer is something I really enjoyed. Hallmark was super open to what I wanted to talk about and what was important to me to include in the film,” Rimes told A Taste of Country.
The movie follows Rimes as she plays Eve Morgan, a traveling superintendent who finds trouble when she returns home to make budget cuts to her childhood school.
