Rosie the kitten is paying back Lilo the husky, one follower at a time.

In June, the endearing dog took on the role of mama cat for the struggling kitten. At just three weeks old, Rosie was found weak, abandoned and hungry. Desperate to find a way to the save the little one, Rosie’s rescuers cautiously introduced the kitten to Lilo, reports Barkpost.

Even though huskies usually have a strong predatory drive, Lilo instantly warmed to the kitten, bathing her and administering lots of cuddles. Lilo’s maternal instincts helped Rosie pull through and formed a precious bond between the two.

Today, the pair’s unlikely friendship has its own Instagram. Rosie and Lilo, natural selfie and hashtags pros, fill their account with heart-achingly adorable shots of them palling around with their canine squad, climbing trees, going to the vet, trying on outfits and, of course, cuddling.

Take a look at some their sweetest moments.

Don’t be fooled into thinking Lilo only taught Rosie how to “dog”. She also taught Rosie how to “cat”!

While Lilo and Rosie were able to become the best of interspecies friends, their owners caution people from introducing a young cat to a husky.

“Huskies are notorious for their intense prey drive! So please please don’t run out and get a kitten (or a husky) expecting them to be best friends. It is very uncommon for them to get along (without growing up with each other), so please! Protect your pets and make smart decisions bringing new ones home,” the owners posted on Instagram.
